    Signs to look for include:

    • Tooth pain
      • Extended sensitivity to heat or cold
      • Tenderness to touch and chewing
      • Spontaneous pain
      • Throbbing
      • Aching
    • Discoloration of the tooth
    • Swelling
    • Tenderness in the lymph nodes
    • Tenderness of the surrounding bone and gingival tissues
    • Sometimes, a tooth requiring endodontic treatment may have no obvious symptoms
